P.K. Schrieffer LLP Wins Motion for Summary Judgment
We’re happy to share that on October 25, the Maricopa County Courthouse in Arizona rendered a ruling in favor of P.K. Schrieffer LLP concerning a Motion for Summary Judgment after having heard oral arguments posed by our own associate, Maxwell Schrieffer. The personal injury matter arose as a result of an alleged slip and fall within an Airbnb rental property. Plaintiff suffered significant injuries and filed a negligence action in Arizona.
After a grueling year and a half of written discovery, depositions, and motion practice, Maxwell Schrieffer and his team filed a Motion for Summary Judgment pursuant to a lack of causation. Oral arguments were heard on October 3. The Court took Mr. Schrieffer’s motion under consideration, and after waiting a nail-biting 22 days, the Court finally rendered its verdict.
According to the Court’s ruling, Mr. Schrieffer successfully persuaded the Court that Plaintiff and her counsel failed to introduce evidence to establish the requisite element of causation, resulting in the Court granting Mr. Schrieffer’s Motion for Summary Judgment.
Thanks to the hard work of Mr. Schrieffer’s team, our wonderful client’s assistance, and the truth coming out, the Court’s ruling has resulted in a dismissal with prejudice for the lawsuit.
